Your Community is Important.. Place Matters.
The Legal department investigates claims of Housing Discrimination, files Housing Discrimination Complaints with the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and in the near future will be able to file civil actions of Housing Discrimination in the Federal Courts in the Southern District of Alabama. The legal department can also help mediate situations between a client and a housing provider, or refer clients to the appropriate organization based on the issue faced by the client if it is determined there is no Housing Discrimination.
We work closely with several organizations around the community. We have partnered with Legal Services of Alabama, South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers, and many other public service organizations. If you feel you have been discriminated against based on one of the seven federally protected classes of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, familial status (having children under the age of 18), or disability, please give us a call us at (251) 479-1532, or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
